President's Message - September 30, 2024

September 30, 2024

From the President:

As many of you all too well know, our community took a beating from the high winds that blew through here last week. Some homes were damaged, and many streets are still closed due to limbs and debris in the roadway.  According to city bulletins the cleanup will take several weeks. The city has contracted for outside cleanup services to augment city crews.  Additionally, all recycling has been cancelled until further notice. Residents should use their recycle bins for additional trash if necessary.

If there is large debris in your street or you need other city services related to the storm, please submit an online 3-1-1 request.  The online submission can be found here.

If you are still without power you can check your areas status by visiting Georgia Power’s website here.

National Night Out

A reminder that tomorrow from 5-7 pm, we will be celebrating National Night Out in Whitefield Square. National Night Out is designed to foster better community-police relations. Bring the entire family; we’ll have plenty of food and soft drinks for all. It’s a great way to meet your neighbors and interact with our community leaders and law enforcement at this festive annual event.
