    The City's Sanitation Department will provide FREE BULK ITEM PICK UP SERVICE on Saturday, May 26th for the Downtown Historic District or anyone in Zone 4 (trash pickup day Thursdays).     SET-OUT INSTRUCTIONS:

    -Items need to be placed at curbside by 7:00 a.m. where you would normally place your residential cart for service.
    -Be courteous to other residents. DO NOT place piles in lanes, private streets, bike lanes, or against fences, retaining walls, hydrants, or landscaping. Sidewalks must remain clear of obstructions at all times.
    -Loose items must be bagged, boxed or bundled.
    -Do not place piles in front of curbs painted red for "No Parking," as large piles can obstruct the view of motorists pulling out of driveways.
    -If you witness illegal dumping, get the driver and vehicle description and vehicle license number and call 311.

    GET RID OF UNWANTED ITEMS for FREE, including the following:

    Furniture/mattresses

    White goods (such as refrigerators, stoves, freezers, water heaters, etc)

    Televisions

    Large items (exercise equipment, etc)

    ITEMS THAT WILL NOT BE PICKED UP:

    Bags or boxes of debris (construction, etc)

    Loose piles of materials of any type.

    Remodeling materials (i.e. sheet rock, shingles, etc.)

    Dirt

    Car parts

    Lumber or guttering over 4 feet

    Rocks, bricks, concrete

    Household hazardous waste (i.e. paint, oil, any type of liquid)

    Flammable material (i.e. gasoline)

    Acid batteries

    National Night Out 2018 will take place on Tuesday, August 7 in Calhoun Square. Welcome local law enforcement and city officials will join with neighbors in this annual celebration of community building.
