Events

The Downtown Neighborhood Association does not conduct general membership meetings in June, July, and August. However, the Board is working diligently to bring speakers and topics of interest and importance to our members with the upcoming Fall schedule.

Meeting dates are typically the third Tuesday of the month but can be adjusted for holidays, etc. Through the end of 2026, they are:

Tuesday, September 22

Wednesday, October 21
Tuesday, November 17

Saturday, December 12, Holiday Tour of Homes

Holiday Tour Season Is Almost Here!

Planning is underway for the Downtown Neighborhood Association’s 51st Holiday Tour of Homes & Inns on Saturday, December 12, and tickets are expected to go on sale in early September.

This year’s tour will explore the southern expansion of Savannah’s Historic District along a special east-to-west route, celebrating the 175th anniversary of Whitefield and Taylor Squares. Through the homes along the route, we hope to share the remarkable variety of architecture, history, holiday traditions, and hospitality found in this part of the city.

As we finalize the route, we would love to hear from homeowners on the south side of the Historic District who might consider opening their homes for the tour, or from neighbors who know of a home we should approach. Participating is a wonderful way to share the spirit of Savannah while supporting the DNA Grant Program, which provides important funding to local organizations serving our community.

Our tour team supports homeowners throughout the process with planning, historical research, and trained docents on tour day. And, as an added incentive, participate this year and we promise not to ask you again for at least five years!

If you might be interested or would simply like to learn more, please contact me at HolidayTour@savannahDNA.org or Tour Co-Chair Rhonda Pulte at rhondapulte.realtor@gmail.com.  We would be happy to visit, answer your questions, and explore whether your home might be a good fit for this year’s route.

We hope you will help us make the 51st Holiday Tour another wonderful celebration of Savannah and our community.

2026 SPRING PICNIC

DNA’s annual Spring Picnic was held at Collins Quarter at Forsyth on May 19, 2026, with a happy and welcome crowd of 200 people attending. In addition to our own members, honored guests from the seventeen nonprofit organizations who received grants, our Resident Awards recipients, and city and police officials shared a dinner of delicious food and lively music from the Dolette McDonald Ensemble. Perfect weather and a chance to visit at leisure with those present made it an evening for all to enjoy.
